Laply active race screen showing runners and lap counts

Designed for the person holding the stopwatch.

Pick the target, check in the group, then tap names as runners pass.

1

Set the target

Pick the lap count before the race begins. The target stays visible in the top bar.

2

Add runners

Load saved runners, check everyone in, or add one late without resetting the race.

3

Tap each lap

Each runner gets a stable row, clear lap count, and state dot for fast race-day taps.

Race state is always visible.

State labels stay short so a coach can read them at arm's length.

Add a runner from the current time without restarting everyone else.

2

Roster check-in

Mark who is present before the start and keep absent runners out of the clock.

3

Results and fastest lap

See finishers, lap splits, and fastest-lap rankings once the race ends.

4

Race history

Saved races build a lightweight record of sessions, squads, and runner progress.

5

Share results

Send the race summary without manually reconstructing the finishing order.

6

Offline restore

A non-empty live race is restored locally if the app restarts.

Race day

How long does race setup take?

Set the target laps, choose the runners, check in who is present, and start. Laply is built for the few minutes before a group run, not a long event setup process.

How accurate is the timing?

Laply records the coach's taps against the device clock. It is intended for coach-run group timing and training sessions, not certified race timing or chip timing.

Rosters and offline use

Can I import a roster?

Roster management is built into Laply. If you already have a squad list and need an import path during launch, contact support so we can help with the current options.

Does Laply work offline?

Yes. Race timing, rosters, saved results, and race history are designed to work on the device without an app server or account.

Availability and support

What data leaves the device?

Laply has no account, no tracking, and no app server. Race data stays local unless you choose to share or export it through the platform share sheet.
